WITH ME - Senior Thesis

During the last semester of my senior year at Ringling, I authored and illustrated a 36-page children's book titled "With Me." This bittersweet adventure story follows a young girl who embarks on a journey across magical lands to create a potion promised to bring a loved one close. As she gathers ingredients, she learns that love shows up in unexpected ways, and discovers how those who love us never truly leave us.

Coco and the Cookie Competition

I created this mock children's book for my Children's Book Illustration class in my junior year at Ringling. Below are a few of my favorite pieces from the class — a final jacket, end pages, the half-title page, a few rendered interiors, and some of my favorite line drawings.

I started every page in gouache on bristol board and then scanned in my paintings to finish them off digitally. I even treated some of the spreads like scrapbook pages, scanning in various gouache textures and clippings in my sketchbook and collaging them digitally.
