Welcome! My name is Sky Chandler, and I am an illustrator and designer currently attending the Ringling College of Art and Design located in Sarasota, Florida. I am an illustration major entering my junior year of college, and I am primarily focused on creating whimsical illustrations and fun and organic patterns.
I believe that one of the most special gifts that we have on this earth is the power of storytelling. I enjoy creating artwork that blends my love for sharing stories with nature, nostalgia, and a little bit of magic.
I enjoy playing with traditional media in my sketchbook such as gouache and watercolor painting and colored pencil work, so I love to scan in textures and seek out fun brushes to add lots of organic texture to my digital work and patterns. I am deeply inspired by nature and the beauty of the little things, so I strive to merge all of these sources of inspiration together to create illustrations full of wonder.
When I’m not illustrating, you can find me reading, riding my bike, journaling outside, or chasing sunsets.
